The Bar – Can be found opposite the main car park at 152 High St, Deal CT14 6BG [Craft Beer]
Bloody Marys – A nice bar that catches the sun in the afternoons – great for people watching from. Also serves great Bloody Marys on a Sunday morning! 160 High Street, Deal CT14 6BG
The Prince Albert – Very close to the house and a wonderful traditional pub. Serves very nice traditional food. If you would like a meal during the week and Saturdays booking is recommended. 87-189 Middle Street, Deal CT14 6LW
Just Reproach – Kent’s first micro pub where they always have a good choice of real ales from microbreweries locally and across the UK. Their real ale menu is constantly changing. 14 King Street, Deal CT14 6HX [Micro Pub]
Smugglers Records – A great place to drink local beer and wine and browse the vinyl, old and new. Don’t miss ‘bargain alley’ for vinyl from £1. You can even try out your newly acquired vinyl on the record player in the house! 9 King Street, Deal CT14 6HX [Sells Vinyl / Live music]
The Ship – Just 50 steps up the road, one of the oldest pubs in Deal. Worth a trip for happy hour between 5:30pm and 6pm, where all drinks are 1/2 price! Note they are a real old pub and only take cash. 141 Middle Street, Deal CT14 6JZ
The Deal Hoy – A pub with lovely roaring fire in the winter and make great handmade pizzas. Slightly off the beaten track so can be slightly quieter at busier times. 16 Duke Street, CT14 6DU [Homemade Pizza’s]
The Royal – The hotel on the front. The main reason for going here are the views as and afternoon sun as you are practically on the beach. Beach Street, Deal, CT14 6JD [Pier/Beach views]
The Bohemian – Has a nice garden which catches the sun later in the afternoon. 7 Beach Street, Deal CT14 6HY [Sunny garden]
Le Pinardier – A lovely bijou wine bar which sometimes has live music. 102 High Street, CT146EE
