With fast links to London, just over 80 minutes from St Pancras, the HS1 high speed train makes it a very easy commute. Now running 7 days a week, the trains are generally hourly (and half hourly during the commuting times) to London. From Deal station we’re an easy 10 minute / 0.5 mile walk towards the sea. For more info click here
It’s easy to navigate a trip to Deal, either down the A2 all the way to nearly the end (Dover), then take a left towards Deal on the A258.
The M20 is the alternative, taking the M20 into Dover and up the Jubilee way (taking in a great view of the Port of Dover). At the roundabout at the top of the Jubilee Way turn right onto the A258 towards Deal.
Once on the 258 stay on it for around 10 minutes, past Walmer sea front, and into a one way system. Once in Deal keep following the Sea on your right and continue up Beach Street, past the Royal Hotel, and we’re about 1/4 mile up on the left hand side.
Local tip for parking: On the front is Pay and Display (and £6.50 a day), but if you drop your things off at the house and drive another 100yds, a bit further north along to the Marina, the parking is free!
Sat Nav users, use the post code: CT14 6LN.
Our house is not that easy to get to via boat!, but should you wish to the details are below. We’d strongly suggest both Ramsgate and Dover Marinas for somewhere to Berth.
